Hello, I have a physician who insists that telepsychiatry can be performed when patient is in their home. I have been researching this for the past week and there is nothing that says that patient's home is a qualifying originating site. Does anyone have experience with this? Are there separate guidelines for psychiatry that I am missing?

Medicare is very specific in stating that a patient home is not an acceptable originating site. Psychiatric care does not have a separate set rules from a a Medicare perspective. If a non Medicare payer has different rules and designations then you should go dirct to that payer for that information.
