I am working for a Chiropractor who is wanting to bill for a Tens unit that we are renting out. Has anyone had any luck billing for this and if so what code did you use?

You will need to check with your payers. For instance we use ASHN and it does not come up as covered than in office application described under CPT 97014 & 97032. You may also need a DME license to dispense medical equipment outside the office.

If you need codes to provider to your payers its:

E0720 - Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (tens) device, two lead, localized stimulation
E0730 - Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (tens) device, four or more leads, for multiple nerve stimulation

Modifier RR for rental
