Hello all,

I have a provider that completed a left L3-4 TFESI and a right L4-5 TFESI and I am trying to figure out if this would count as a bilateral single level procedure (64483/50) or if this would be two levels (64483/LT, 64484/RT).

Any direction toward resources would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

L3-L4 is one level, & L4-L5 is another level. Therefore, you need to code two levels.

If the provider injected RT & LT of L3-L4, that would be a bilateral single level.
