getting multiple answers.. so figure I'll try and get more.. ; )

patient has infectious diarrhea/salmonella, dehydration, and generalized abdominal pain.. heres the nurse notes.

Nursing intervention/completed orders:
1615-20G IV started in R AC-DRoller RN
1617-1 Liter NS IV started-DRoller RN
1620-Zofran 8mg IVP-DRoller RN
1622-Rocephin 1 gram IV in 250ml NS started-DRoller RN
1645-Rocephin 1 gram IV in 250 ml NS complete-DRoller RN
1650-1 Liter NS IV complete-DRoller RN
1705-IV d/c'd, tip intact.

what cpt codes would you use? were lost as if one code trumps another or if you charge both a therapeutic infusion and a push.

The Rocephin infusion is the initial service, 96365, and the Zofran is an IVP of a different drug, 96375.

This may be a homework question because of the fluid volume of the Rocephin (1 gm is usually given in 50-100 ml of solution). If not, I would remove the nurse's name in your post if it identifies an actual employee.
