I am doing some research on billing the 29000 series vs the "L" codes for splint applications. I have some questions:
Who can bill using the L code series? Therapists?
Which codes pay more?
We are not DME licensed ... can we still use the L codes series for the splinting?
Can you bill for the materials when you bill using the 29000 series for splinting?
What is included in the billing of L Codes ... professional time, supplies, fitting and adjustment?
