I know that this is normally an inpatient procedure, but when it is done in the ER, should it be coded the same way? I work at a CAH hospital and we do not yet charge for critical care (although we are working on that right now!!). We do not administer tpk or tpa very often but it does happen about a 1/2 dozen times a year and I could use a little help with the CPT code end of it, if anyone can help me.
