Please help. This was a question asked and I am not sure. Can an untimed code 97001( Eval PT/OT) be billed with a timed code 97110 (PT treatment). I am getting alot of conflicting information. Thanks

When the pt comes in for the initial eval (97001), the PT will commonly do treatment that same day. You would bill for the eval and any timed codes (i.e. 97001, 97110, 97140, as well as any modalities). The only exception I am aware of would be with medicaid. I believe Medicaid only allows the eval at the first visit.
