Timeline for "Closing EMR"...

Does anyone know what the timeline is for "closing EMR", i.e., to have the records in the EHR?

This questions came up when I was reviewing the AAPC WC: The ABCs of Auditing (slide 11)

Any help would be appreciated.
 
We have an internal policy that the EMR note must be finalized in 72 hours, then it is locked for all except addendums (view only access).

I don't know of any regulatory guidance on this, but if you come across any, please post!
