Does anyone know if timely filing guidelines includes filing to the wrong insurance company on file?
 
Most payers I've worked with would accept the denial from another insurance or documentation of an attempt to file to another payer as proof of timely filing, as long as the date of that denial was within their own timely filing requirements. You'd have to contact your payer or check their policies to know for sure what they will accept though.
