Can you use 76536 for an ultrasound of the tempormandibular joint?

We would not do an ultrasound for TMJ and since that code 76536 is for soft tissue (and unless they are looking at tissue or swelling and not bones in that area) you could not use it. You may have to use an unspecified code like 76999. This is just my opinion on this but I did look extensively to find a specific answer for you and did not find one. Hope this helps.
