To COBGC or not to COBGC

I am thinking of taking the specialty exam for COBGC. I would like to hear from those who have taken the exam and get opinions on whether or not they felt it helped them in either obtaining a new/different position, a higher salary, more job opportunites, etc.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

As an aside, recently a local OB-GYN practice in my city advertised an opening for a coder and the employer noted that NO certificate was necessary.
