Has anyone billed for debridement of Achilles tendon with Topaz microdebrider?

I have reviewed coding/billing info. provided by the company as well as several articles regarding the use of this tool.....and they suggest you use code 27654, however, I have also reviewed several payor policies on the use of Topaz(coblation) tool and they all consider this "experimental" and non covered.

I feel using the 27654 is "hiding" the fact that it was done using this tool, and hoping they dont ask for the op.

I was leaning towards unlisted.......does anyone have any experience with this procedure??
 
We have done this procedure, depending where the location I have done the 27658 or the 28060.

I have read as you stated Topaz is the tool, if the tendon was debrided only, you had not mentioned repaired, I would lean toward 27680 or 27625 or 27626 depending on the operative note.
