One of our docs is planning to perform a transoral nissan fundoplication.
What is the code for that? If unlisted, what procedure could you compare it to?
HELP!
 
I would disagree. These are codes intended for transabdominal repairs. There is no code as of yet for an endoscopic fundoplication which means that an unlisted endoscopic code should be used.
 
We do these too!

I have a CPT assitant that states we are to use code 43499 unlisted procedure for the esophagus. This is per the June 2011 CPT assitant. (By the way we are having a hard time getting these paid and MCR does consider this experimental).
