WOULD LIKE ANOTHER OPINION ON THE CODING OF THIS PROCEDURE. WILL PROVIDE DESCRIPTION OF PROCEDURE ONLY.
DX: Carpometacarpal arthritis left thumb
Procedure: Trapeziectomy left wrist

Incision made, centered over first dorsal compartment. Dissection carried down until dorsal compartment identified. APL tendon was
retracted dorsally. Branch of superficial radial nerve identified and protected. Capsule of CMC joint incised. Blunt retractors placed in and trapziectomy performed. Entire trapezium removed in 1 piece. FCR tendon identified at base of incision. It was intact. Hemostatis achieved with electrocautery. Irrigated with betadine solution. At this time, the imbrication was done with deep capsule bringing the superficial incised part of the capsule. Done with interrupted stitches of #1 Vicryl. Capsule reapproximated with #1 Vicrycl. Subcutaneous tissue was closed with Vicryl, and skin with Monocryl, dressed, wrapped and placed in splint. No complications.

I have coded CPT 25210 only in the past. Is that the only procedure applicable.

Would appreciate any and all replies.
