If the procedure performed area on the op-report States that a trigger finger release was done on the RT index finger and the body of the report mentions the RT small finger. How would you code this?

I would query the provider to make certain the note is accurate first.

Hi Chankim
Trigger finger R dx is M65.351 and CPT 26145. Add modifier RT on claim. If providers note say due to overuse of finger add dx M70.841 or look at dx block X50. I hope this helps you.

Definitely query the provider.
