Is the medication(s) used in these injections bundled in these procedures or can you bill and be paid for the medication. Have researched this to death would like some imput from coders and a billers perspective, have heard it both ways. How are people doing it? Thanks in advance.

It depends on the medication and the location. In a doctor's office any anesthetic (lidocaine, Marcaine, etc) are included but you can bill for Kenalog, Depo-Medrol, Celestone, etc. If the physician gives an injection in a facility then only the injection can be billed.
