Wiki Trigger point injections

HI everyone
I have a MD that performs trigger point injections for lower back pain and sciatica.
Our office uses Code Correct , and it is denying the 20553 when it is linked with either 724.3 or 724.2. Does anyone know why? I thought trigger points were for pain....

Our Medicare region has a LMRP for this code. Many of our carriers follow Medicare's guidelines for accepted diagnosis codes.

Generally we use 729.1. It seems to be the only one that gets accepted.
