What DX code would you assign to thrombus involving he dialysis AV graft of the left arm.? Thanks

I was thinking 996.74 because the test document says nothing about renal so I didn't choose 996.73
 
996.73 would be the proper code. As you stated it is involving the dialysis AV graft. The only reason they may be on dialysis would be for renal failure. You also need to use the thrombus code (453.2-453.9)
