Can someone clarify this for me:
The patient is admitted to the hospital and we bill for the cardiology consult. Five days later the patient is transferred to the rehab floor in the same hospital and we see the patient again there due to a hematoma and he is on Coumadin. Do we bill both visits as consults or do we bill a consult and a subsequent care day for the rehab floor evaluation?
