I am having some trouble with how to code something. The doctor I work for is a pediatrican. She has her pediatric clinic. Well she opened a new clinic that is more of a family practice clinic. It has a different tax ID than her pediatric clinic. When our schedule gets booked we schedule them for the new clinic. Although they are established at our pediatric clinic, when they are seen at the new clinic (by a NP or a PA) do I bill/code as a new patient or established. I have been reading up on it and it is so confusing. Please help!
