One surgeon performs a pelvic exam under anesthesia and leaves. Second surgeon performs cystoscopy, endocervical and endometrial curettage and proctoscopy. Per CCI edits the pelvic exam cannot be billed. But because this was done by two separate surgeons can we bill for the exam?

If they are from the same group you can not bill. If the patient is not removed from the room.
and brought back to surgery. Then you need to use modifier to explain why. Also you could look this up in national reg
