Good Afternoon,

I have been trying to figure out if I can count UA dips and UA Cultures as 2 separate tests in my MDM. My company we will run the UA Dip and if it comes back inconclusive, we well send the UA out for a Culture. A separate lab runs the Culture and once we get the results, we do call the patient to update them on the result. So, my question is can I count the UA Culture and UA dip as 1 unique test or 2? I did a little digging and found this: In my opinion I feel the UA culture and UA Dip have overlapping Elements.

you can count each cpt code so if the ua culture and dip have separate procedure codes you can count as 2.
only get credit for order(s) or review of results not both
