I Would like feedback on UHC policy change Effective for DOS’s on or after 4-01-26. UHC policy states when MD performs a review rather than the full written interpretation and report, the reimbursement for the PC is considered included in the E&M service. The PC will not be considered for separate reimbursement unless a copy of the rad report is attached to support separate reimbursement. This being said we have found in our office that initially after uploading our notes and “not a separate rad report” UHC only paid us for the technical component (TC) part of the x-ray. This went on for most of our May charges and now second week into June they have started paying for both the PC & TC of the x-ray again without a “separate rad report.” I would like to know what others are experiencing regarding this policy change.
