Medicare coding I haven't been having an issue with- I know what their rules are. I have had problems with commercial insurance companies.
Some deny the new codes, but only sometimes.
I haven't been able to establish what the approved Dx are. I try to use ones that were approved for 76942.
I'm running into issues with a 20611 and a 20610 even with a modifier 51 and separate Dx indicating different body parts.
When I call the claim lines directly the representatives can't tell me what exactly it was denied for/what is required for billing.
I do know Aetna will not cover 20611 with Hyalgan or Euflexxa.
Anyone have any insights? What have you noticed?
