Billing 29874 and 29877-59 for removal of a large loose body (2 cm X 1 cm) and chondroplasty of the MFC, patella and trochlea in a right knee. Insurance is only paying for the chondroplasty, saying that "the loose body was removed through the same incision so its clinically integral to the sucessful outcome of the primary procedure"...... I sent a copy of the Global Service Data that states a loose body greater than 5 mm is not included in the global package of 29877. Any other documetation i can send to Wells Fargo. help, I tried to post on the billing forum and was unable to do so.... Cheryl Snyder
