When billing for unattended sleep studies 95806, G0398, G0399, and G0400 is the code choice based on the place of service? When the patient comes in and is given the device for the study to be done at home and the physician is billing the TC ONLY should the POS be Home 12? Or should it be billed with POS 11 because the physician is providing the device?

Home sleep studies

If the doctor is providing the device and patient brings it back and the physician is reading it in the office you don't need to bill it out with a TC and you bill pos as 11. I have been billing these for over two years now with no problem

Thanks so much for taking the time to reply. ANOTHER physician is doing the reading, so we use mod TC while the other physician is billing with 26. This is where the confusion is taking place for us. Since we are billing with modifier TC and it is being performed in the home would we use POS 12 and a "G" code? or is it ok to use POS 11 with 95806?
