Wiki Uncontrolled DM with multiple manifestations

Please, someone correct me if I'm wrong, and/or give me guidance on this!

If a pt has uncontrolled DM type II and multiple manifestations, the fifth digit of 2 to indicate uncontrolled type II DM has to be used for all DM codes. One pt can't have controlled and uncontrolled DM at the same time.

For example:
Correct:
250.62
357.2
250.42
585.3

Incorrect:
250.62
357.2
250.40
585.3

The "uncontrolled" part of DM codes does not pertain to the status of the manifestation, only the DM.

Yes, you are correct. Make sure it is documented "uncontrolled".

I would go with the "Correct" coding examples. Would add V58.67 as well.

You are correct, you can not have uncontrolled and controlled.
