A Dr. in our practice ordered a renal panel and a hepatic panel - they both have an albumin test. The insurance co. denied the 2nd albumin and short paid. I'm being told to remove the renal panel and instead bill a BMP and a phosphorous. Considering the Dr. specifically ordered the renal and hepatic - I'm nervous about changing the billing?? what does anyone advise??
