Wiki Units on individual psychotherapy visits?

Hi There,

I noticed that the MUE for individual psychotherapy codes has been upped to 2. Does this mean that if we happen to have a 2 hour therapy session, we can bill 2 units of 90837?

It maybe that they increased the MUE units for 90837 to 2 because they removed the psychotherapy codes from the list of primary procedures that you can billed the add-on codes for prolonged procedures for 2024. By increasing the MUE units it allows providers to bill for sessions that exceed the 60-minute threshold for 90837.
