Unknown family history due to being adopted

HI, can anyone offer any guidance? I have a 46 YO patient being referred by PCP for an early screening colonoscopy due to an unknown family history because she is adopted-----I did some research on here and saw a recent thread that had some information from 2011 that stated that this patient would fall under the "AVERAGE RISK" category under the :

Scheuner and colleagues[19] stratify risk based on family history into 3 groups: high, moderate, and average.

I have not been able to find any CURRENT information on this subject /nor guidelines and maybe just don't know where to look---Can anyone offer any guidance-or confirm if this information still holds true?
