Can anyone tell me if most insurances are covering preventive services ie: visual screen, and hearing screen if you use modifier 33?? I just read it in an updated coding alert, but I am wondering if insurances are paying? Since preventive care is covered less and less lately, its been hard to explain why patients get stuck with the bill, it would be great if mod 33 would get Insurance to pay it. ANYONE GETTING PAID USING MOD 33???
