I am havind a hard time coding for this particular location. Can anyone tell me how to code for the complex repair of a surgical wound of the upper abd. The pt had a lesion removed from this location and it required a complex closure.:confused:
 
If the pt had a SKIN lesion excised from the upper abdomen & complex repair was performed on the excision site, the lesion excision would be coded with a code from one of the following ranges: CPT 11400-11406 (Benign lesion) or CPT 11600-11606 (Malignant lesion) AND the complex repair would be coded with a code or codes from this range: CPT 13100-13102. The "upper abdomen" would fall under "trunk".
