Technique/Description of Procedure
Patient was placed in the supine position was prepped and draped in the usual manner he had a pinpoint urethral meatus. We placed a small forceps into the meatus. Then with the scalp pole we cut down to the urethra. The stricture extended all the way into the fossa navicularis. We therefore continued the incision that far. Once that was done we performed a urethroplasty approximating the mucosa to the skin of the glans after we coagulated bleeders. We then placed him in the dorsal lithotomy position performed a cystoscopy which did not show any other urethral strictures but it did show that he had BPH with obstruction. We then placed a 16 Foley catheter in his bladder and applied Neosporin ointment. HS 20211215
