Physician is needing code for a patient about to have a transplant ... he is going to do an upper and lower endoscopsy as a necessary preliminary test-

How do we code for this ?

When we do pre-transplant evaluations the actual hospital that is doing the transplant pays for the pre procedure tests. We submit the bills to them and they have requested that we use dx code V72.85. Hope this helps.
