One of our follow-up girls brought a claim to me that is denying 81002 as incidental to the office visit. There are several things going on with this claim, so I'll just lay it out, as follows:

99214-25 (A,B,C,D,E)
82044-QW (A)
81002 (B)
Dx: E11.9(A), I10(B), L30.9(C), E78.1(D), I48.91(E)

Any feedback?

Many payers treat 81002 the same as taking the blood pressure, height, weight and temperature. Very limited practice resources are required so they bundle it in the E&M.
