I have a physician that wants to code 52341 and 52204-59. This procedure was done because a urethral stricture was seen on a cystoscopy. He was going back in to rule out carcinoma. He first had to dilate the urethra then did a cold cup biopsy. I don't think in this scenerio the two code would be unbundled. Just looking for another opinion.

CPT 52341 is for ureteral stricture NOT urethral structure as mentioned. Use 52276 for urethral stricture . Query physician to clarify if the stricture was ureter or urethral before you can unbundle . Hope this helps
