Wiki use of 59 mod for diff physicians

Hi all

I need clarification regarding the usage of Modifier 59(Distinct Procedural Services) for two procedures in which one procedure is component of the other procedure done by different physicians on the same dos.If its not allowed which modifier should be used?

There are so many questions that you need to ask
Like was in the same operating session? Were they co surgeons? was one assisting the other? was it related? take a look at the modifiers 62, 80, or maybe even 77 and see if any of those help you.
