Is it appropriate to use modifier GA on both 76376-26 and 76376-TC?

Anytime you think a service may not be covered by Medicare, you should ask the patient to sign an ABN. If the patient did sign an ABN, it is appropriate to append the GA modifier to the code. If the patient didn't sign an ABN, it would not be appropriate to use the GA modifier. This rule applies to both the professional and technical components of a CPT code.
