Wiki Use of RT and LT mods

I'm trying to determine if using RT and LT mods on 20680(removal of deep implant) during a revision of an open treatment of acromioclavicular dislocation on the RT side(23550-RT), another example would be using 11044(debridement of bone) during open tx of clavicular fracture on LT side-(23515-LT), and another one is 16020(dressings and or debridement of partial thickness burns) billed alone. To me the location modifiers seem unnecessary on these procedures since they could be perfomed anywhere on the body but I'm just trying to get clarification. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks!

I use the right or left modifiers often actually. Just because sometimes the other side has something come up in a post op visit. Makes it easy for me
