Wiki Using stamps?

Good day all!

Is it permissable for a coder or other non clinical staff to use a stamp with the Doctor's name and or signature? I seem to recall that you could not. Also where might I find that information?

You are correct, a stamp signature is not accetable per Medicare Guidelines. Here is the MLM Matters guidelines outline what is allowed. A stamp can only be used for the typed name of the provider identifying the signature to the provider. Or for an address identifier for site-of-service, but not for signatures.
