Hello,
i have a surgery for a Vaginal fistula to perineum that the Dr. had placed a Seton..
at this surgery, Dr. removed the seton , opened the tract and states that this clearly does not involve the Rectum..
Dr. used cautery and stitched and packed with surgicel. He is calling this a Vaginal Fistulectomy
I looked at CPT code 57295- Revision of Prosthetic vaginal graft... but did not feel that this is the appropriate cpt.
May just be able code for just the removal of the Seton ???
Can someone look at this one for me ?
