I have a dilemma. I have a patient that received an epidural for a vaginal delivery by one CRNA and then a c-section was called and a different CRNA performed the anesthesia for this. The baby was born on the following day. We have 2 different ways to bill this that are being argued.
Scenario 1:
CRNA X bills for the epidural 20:25-21:20 on 6/2/14 and CRNA Y bills for the c-section 17:25-18:21 on 6/3/14.
Scenario 2:
We bill for CRNA Y as he has the longest time and we bill 6/2/14 20:25- 6/3/14 18:21.
We have two associates that have been trained each way and I can't seem to find any documentation on this scenario. If anyone has any resources or links that would help, please let me know.
Thanks!
