I am struggling with how to bill for a Medicaid claim that requires a value code. My error message states:
MISSING OR INVALID VALUE CODE OR VALUE CODE AMOUNT. EXPECTED VALUE CODE 80 AND VALUE CODE AMOUNT TO BE A WHOLE NUMBER OF COVERED DAYS
In box 39 I have 80 as the code and 05 as the amount. This is for an inpatient detox center. She was there a total of 5 days. I do not have to do value codes for any other of my insurances, only Medicaid. I have searched and billed and rebilled. Any help is appreciated....my time on the claim is almost up.
