Ok, I'm sure we are over thinking this but, when coding a dx and the documentation states Vascular dementia, 290.40, the book states use additional code to identify cerebral atherosclerosis, 437.0, do we add that? there isn't anything in the documenation that we can find, other than the vascular dementia.
