Wiki vascular surgery coding question

hi..trying to help my coworker out. We billed CPT's 37191 and 37193 together. 37191 was denied as bundled. Can we add modifier 59 to the 37191? I cant find the website where you can plug in the CPT codes to see if they can be billed together. Thanks

About 95% of the time the NCCI edits allow a modifier -59. However, that is not really the issue here. To keep compliant, you have to answer the question: Does the documentation support both codes? And yes, in this case a modifier is allowed.
