Can an MA perform a venipuncture in the office setting without a physician present in the office? If yes, what is the correct way to bill. Also, are the rules different if an RN or LPN performs this?

If you are a physician office and use a physician NPI in field 24J for supervising/rendering physician then that physician must be present to supervise or render the the service. So for a physician office whether it is an MA, LPN, RN, the provider you are billing under must be in the office.
