Vincristine being cleared from line

My infusion nurses are telling me that there is a new delivery method for Vincristine, such that the entire drug is not delivered to the patient in 15 minutes.

They are hanging the bag of medication, and it has run out by 15 minutes, but because the line is longer, they have a hang a bag of saline to complete the infusion by getting the last of the medication out of the line.

We cannot determine if this is now an infusion as opposed to a push, or if this would be considered a flush of the line, and we should still bill it as an IV push of Vincristine.

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

Vincristine push

If you are saying that the drug has run out in 15 minutes -and that is the documented start and stop time , I would report that as the code that most accurately describes the service performed.
