I have a silly question....for some reason I can't remember. When a patient is in the hospital for a surgery with a 90 day global period and the provider that performed the surgery checks in on them and discharges them the next day, what code would I use? Would I still bill a "discharge" code or not because of the global period?
 
No code (no discharge).

You can use 99024 with a zero charge if you guys keep track of post op face-to-face visits.
