Wiki Vit d def reimbursement ?

Just wondering by any chance has anybody had problems getting the vit d def lab reimbursed and if so what carriers ? We had one denied because it was the 2nd one billed within the same year and the vit d def dx was not used at that time, in other words i think they were saying that you could use any dx code that followed mcare guidelines the first time billing the vit d def dx code but the second time would have to be the (E55.9) basicly saying that the first time was considered a screening i'm guessing ? Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, cindy
