Are you able to bill the anesthesia cross code for the services provided where the anesthesiologist is only monitoring vital signs during the procedure?

Hi there, you can't bill an anesthesia service if they only monitored vitals. Monitored anesthesia care (which might involve monitoring without administering drugs) requires all of the work normally associated with an anesthesia service. https://www.asahq.org/standards-and-guidelines/position-on-monitored-anesthesia-care
